This qualification is for the sports person, coach, spectator or other involved adult. As well as the topics found upon most first aid qualifications this course includes key sports topics such as return to play decisions, managing specialist sports kit such as gum shields and helmets, when to and not to use ice, and sports specific first aid such as managing winding, blows to testicles, dead leg, possible compartment syndrome and other sports related first aid concerns.
This course is to be found upon the National Database of Approved Qualifications (NDAQ), the Learning Aims Database (LAD) and may be eligible for Learning Skills Council (LSC) funding. This Level 2 certificate is suitable for the 16 – 18, 18+ and 19+ age groups. 500/3302/5

The trainer/assessors delivering this course will typically have a professional background in sport or be active practitioners in their own leisure time, with experience and commitment to working with groups in the sporting environment. Our trainers are constantly updating their methods and materials keeping abreast of current best practice from around the world. Trainers typically have knowledge of your workplace and follow Health and Safety approved code of practice guidelines.
This qualification ‘license to practice’ is revalidated by attending another Level 2 First Aid for Sport course in 3 years time.
