Course Content

1. Vital Signs – breathing, level of consciousness, temperature, colour
2. Incident Management – a systematic approach to managing first aid incidents
3. Airway Management – causes and treatment of unconscious collapse
4. Breathing Problems – choking
5. Circulation Problems – Internal bleeding, external bleeding and treatment for shock
6. Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and Drowning
7. Hypothermia and Hyperthermia
8. Awareness of current regulations
9. Safe best practice
