Really Good First Aid was founded by Rupert, an outdoor enthusiast who having attended many first aid courses in his time, identified a need for a more interactive and enjoyable first aid experience. He became an ITC First Aid approved trainer to meet that demand.
Rupert has worked in many sectors of the Outdoor Industry, with a cross section of people and society in the UK and also across the globe. He has lead expeditions to the developing world for the likes of Raleigh, World Challenge, Wilderness Expertise and quite a few independent expeditions. During these expeditions he has summitted 6,000 meters, built jungle bashers in remote parts of jungles, skied, dived, driven, trekked, sailed and rafted across many parts of the world.
His experiences have given Really Good First Aid the ability to provide tailor made courses to cater for individuals and groups whatever your working environment or needs may require.
Really Good First Aid offer a personal, friendly and helpful service to all, offering a variety of different qualifications and courses.
Rupert holds his Summer ML, Winter Training, BCU Level 3 Coach Inland, SPA, RYA Senior Dinghy Instructors, Power Boat Instructors, Advanced Open Water Diver, JEEP off Road Instructor, Brathay Train the Trainer and PTTLS teaching award. He therefore understands the requirements of NGB awards and ensures that whatever your sporting specialism or favoured outdoor pursuit, that your first aid experience is a relevant one with scenarios that are realistic to your environment.
Not only is Really Good First Aid's training fun and enjoyable, it is hands on and jargon-free. It is also safe, simple and provides a systematic approach to dealing with a potentially stressful situation in First Aid and Outdoor Training.
Our first aid courses are assessed on a continuous basis, by our trainers. All course candidates play an active roll in the first aid scenarios, reviewing your peers as you go, which allows you to increase your experience. Assessment also involves using protocol sheets and the 3-day courses have a formal written exam. First Aid courses are delivered for both urban and remote contexts and can be delivered in various time slots from 2hr, 4hr, half and full days, depending on your needs.
Really Good First Aid deliver ITC First Aid courses which meet the National Qualifications Framework, ITC First Aid Ltd.
ITC is an awarding body recognised by the Qualifications Curriculum Authority (QCA). As such, Immediate Temporary Care (ITC) has the HSE approval number 1670/96.
Although the HSE only approve and monitor 'First Aid at Work' training courses, many institutions requiring some form of first aid training will use this approval number to recognise the competency of a certificating body for various other sectors of first aid training.
